1/6 scale Doll Kimono Project

Hiya there! :)

Found this Gorgeous skirt some time back and thought since I'm not going to wear it plus the print is so lovely, I'm going to make tiny kimono out of it.

This is my first sewing Project so I'm still learning slowly from tutorials AND hand stitching everything as a sewing machine has to wait. Guess no pain, no gain!

Love Love Love the Print ! :)

A Kimono pattern modelled after Barbie's measurement...

This will be the Nagajuban (innerwear) thingy as it came out a bit too small after I did the hemming. Boo!

Outer robe pinned together for now... Will continue hemming later tonight!

Eyes heavy, it's 1.35am... Very excited, going to Vote for the first time tomorrow morning! A better Malaysia! Here we come!

Early sketches and a Kitsune...

Hello there!

Just started this other Blog recently as a new creative outlet! Been feeling restless and dying for a new Hobby so everything comes at the right timing...

I had bought a big sketch pad, colour pencils, and sorts but stored them away for some time. By the time I took the box of colouring pencils out to colour, it just wouldn't colour! I mean I scraped and scraped, but no colour came out! I was baffled and upset if I had to chuck the brand new box of 48pcs out. So I had them sharpened down and thank goodness, all is well now! :)

I remember when I was a kid up till my late teens I just drew and drew everyday. Then I just stopped. Hadn't drawn/sketched anything in possibly 10 years. I don't even know why I've started drawing again. My hands are rusty and drawings chidlike, do forgive me !

The Kitsune, a nine-tailed fox in Japanese, Korean and Chinese Folklore has always been one my objects of fascination. I think period Drama's are to blame for this as growing watching stories of how a hunted white fox's life is spared and it comes back in the form of a beguilling, ethereal Beauty and returns the deed....

Been picking up lots of cheap clothes/fabric from boutique clearance sales and Charity Shops to start off my Doll Fashion Project. Status quo, my Obitsu Doll body is on its way from Hong KOng while her Kumik head from Singapore. Pretty excited as something new to look forward to!

I have my eyes set on some sewing machine models but it'll have to wait. Just learning to perfect my hand stitching for now.

Do stay tuned for more! ;)
